Changing your password
Who is this article for?
Users who want to learn how to change a password
An active user account. No elevated permissions are required unless the organization is using SSO.
For organizations using Single-Sign-On (SSO), passwords are not used and never need to be changed. With SSO authentication it is controlled by the organization's identity provider, i.e., Active Directory.
Users not connected to SSO can change passwords when needed. Use the Forgot Password button on the login page to reset a password without logging in. Click the button and enter a username or email address for the account. An email will be sent with a link to change the password.
If your username is not your email, you will need to know your username to sign in once you receive your reset password email.
Warning
Emails, including Forgot Password emails, are only sent from production areas. Emails are not sent from non-production areas such as Test and UAT areas. To reset a password in a non-production area, contact an Admin or Technical Account Manager (TAM) for help.
