Who is this article for?
Ideagen EHSQ (Formerly the DevonWay platform) Users
Reporting authorities, roles, and record access controls restrict data visibility.
Drag, drop, copy, or paste allowable file types such as .xlsx, .pdf, .jpg, .png, or a screenshot into the attachment region, with or without annotations. Once the uploaded document has been added an image of the document in the form of a thumbnail will be displayed. Add multiple files simultaneously by holding the Control key down while each file is selected.
The attachment region allows users to do the following:
- Click the attachment to open it in a new browser tab to view it or save it as a PDF
- Click the pencil icon to edit the attachment details including
- the filename
- print order
- include/exclude from print
- add annotations
- Click the X icon to delete it
- Download the attachment using the download icon
- View Details in the attachment region toolbar to show attachments in a data table
- When renaming an attachment, use the same file extension (renaming the attachment file extension results in an error)
Attachment size limitation
Attachments cannot exceed 20 MB per attachment. If the individual attachment size is not large enough, please contact a Technical Account Manager (TAM) representative to discuss additional options.
Adding an annotation
When an application is configured to allow annotation of attachments users can click directly on an attachment Icons while it is in the Icon view or select the Annotate icon in "Details" view.
This will open the users preferred Desktop editor where they can draw, insert text, insert lines or shapes, add comments, insert images or stamps, and more to annotate the existing file.
When the changes have been made, Save the image according to the application settings to keep the annotations or Return without saving to discard the annotations.
Download the annotated version by clicking Download in the PDF editor or download the original file from the Attachments grid.
