Notifications, particularly email notifications, play a crucial role in keeping users informed and up to date with various activities and changes within a system. These notifications are designed to proactively alert users in several scenarios:
- New Assignments: Users receive notifications when they are assigned new tasks or responsibilities.
- Closed Records: Notifications are sent when a record initiated by the user has been closed.
- Record Changes: Users are alerted when changes are made to records of interest.
- Scheduled Reports: Notifications inform users when a scheduled report is ready for viewing.
There are four distinct types of notifications, each serving a specific purpose and offering unique configuration options:
- Default: Notifications offered to all customers, users about key events, assignments, and updates.
- Module: Notifications that are custom to a specific module based on the specific activities and workflow assignments.
- Report: Notifications that promptly informed users of report updates.
- Custom SSRS Reports & Charts: Notifications connected to SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports that have been created and scheduled for distribution by report administrators.
By understanding and effectively managing these notifications, users can stay informed and responsive to the dynamic changes within their systems, enhancing their productivity and decision-making processes.
