We are happy to announce the next integration steps following Ideagen’s acquisition of DevonWay in October 2023.
To align with Ideagen’s global branding various changes will be implemented over the upcoming months. These changes will be implemented in multiple phases, each with varying levels of impact and required actions by the customer.
The changes will affect both desktop and mobile deployments.
This page will be updated as soon as information is available to aid in your change management efforts.
Frequently Asked Questions (General)
- Why are these changes being made? To bring DevonWay's UI's (desktop and mobile) into alignment with Ideagen's overall branding and roadmap.
- Can our company opt out of these changes? No. These changes will be part of future platform and mobile releases. On-premises customers may delay desktop LTS releases at their own discretion, but hosted customers will not be able to opt out or delay these changes. For mobile users, the updates will come when the mobile app is updated on users’ devices.
- Will there be an additional cost to the customer? No. There is no cost associated with these changes.
- Will this apply to the Classic UI (user interface)? No. This change applies to the Miramar UI and mobile apps.
- What if I still have questions? Please direct any questions to your Technical Account Manager (TAM) or Account Executive.
Phase I - September 2024
The first phase will include cosmetic changes to the colors, fonts, and logos used in the platform and iOS mobile app. These changes will make the application look new, but still familiar.

- Miramar UI - 2.59.5 release (2.59 LTS) September 19, 2024
The benefits of phase I changes are: Improved look and feel. Improved clarity and readability. Improved usability.
Frequently Asked Questions (Phase I)
- Can we choose the size of the font? No. The standard font size will be 16px for all customers. (Same size as current Miramar UI and iOS.)
- Will this affect the look of our applications? Yes. Colors, fonts, and other UI elements are defined in the platform and mobile code. However, some of your custom desktop and mobile applications may use configured colors, which won’t be impacted by these changes, but should be updated to be consistent with the new UI color scheme.
- Will this affect the functionality of our applications? No. Changes related to Phase I do not affect application functionality.
- Are any changes required by the customer? Possibly. If your organization has custom colors configured, you should consider updating those colors. Ideagen will update these colors free of charge. Also, each customer should consider if training materials need to be updated to reflect the new font and colors.
- When will it be in our User Acceptance Testing (UAT) area? For Miramar, these changes will be in UAT areas on September 5, 2024. For the iOS mobile app, the 1.41 release is available now in Test Flight.
- Will this impact Android and Windows mobile apps? Yes. Changes are coming for the Android and Windows mobile apps, with a release date to be announced soon.

In Phase II some minor changes to platform branding will be introduced.
Frequently Asked Questions (Phase II)
- Will this affect the functionality of our applications? No. Changes related to Phase I do not affect application functionality.
- Are any changes required by the customer? Each customer should consider whether training materials need to be updated to reflect the new logo in screenshots.
- Will this impact Android and Windows mobile apps? Yes. Changes are coming for the Android and Windows mobile apps, with a release date to be announced soon.

On the login screen the Ideagen logo will replace the DevonWay logo.

Changes for Classic Users
These changes will not impact customers using the Classic user interface.
iOS Mobile Applications Examples (Phase II)
The current DevonWay Mobile application will continue to be called DevonWay2 and the application icon will not change at this time.
Within the application the Ideagen logo will replace the DevonWay Logo.

Phase III - TBD
Phase III includes refactoring elements of the UI to more closely match Ideagen's defined standards. With phase III, the resulting product will still be structurally and functionally like what we know today, but most, if not all elements of the UI, will be updated (things like how fields display, how buttons look, how lists and banners and menus show up).
The benefits of phase III changes are: Modern look and feel. Improved usability. Improved accessibility. Possibly a few new features.
