Understanding the Module Developer role
Who is this article for?
Administrators and Module Developers seeking access to Module Builder
Active Support package or Success Plan is required.
We recommend that any user interested in module development, first take the Module Developer trainings, which will give them the context they need to understand the configuration and SQA process. After this training and once given approved access, they can use Module Builder to explore the configuration of the modules in their build or test areas.
This following module developer Administrative Roles can be assigned to users:
Module Viewer role:
- Can view modules in read-only mode.
- Can be granted to interface developers that are writing REST or Search API interfaces so that they can see module and field codes.
Module Importer role can:
- Export and import modules.
- View modules in read-only mode.
Module Developer role can:
- Create and modify modules and have full access to all module developer tools.
Note: Users with this role can permanently delete data.
Disclaimer
Administrators and Module Developers are required to document all changes and follow the SQA process. Any help completing changes or resolving incidents that were caused by an Administrator or Module Developer will be covered under the subscriber's support plan, not maintenance.
