No-downtime US Production Update (2.54.3) Thursday, October 20, 2022, and Maintenance

Please note that we are planning a no-downtime update of US Production on the evening of Thursday, October 20. You can review these release notes for an overview of the changes.

Action

Please report any unexpected behavior that you notice in your US Config (Build, Test, and UAT) areas, which we plan to update with this new 2.54.3 version on Friday, October 14. (We will postpone the Production update if we're not confident in its quality.)

Maintenance

Note these upcoming maintenance events, which we anticipate will have no impact on system behavior (as the devices will be out of service during the event):

• Between Tuesday, October 18, and Thursday, October 20: We plan to perform no-downtime software maintenance on redundant US Production servers.
• The evening of Wednesday, October 19: We plan to perform no-downtime maintenance to redundant US Production network devices.

US Production slowdown / issues today (October 18, 2022)

Today we experienced a slowdown and a few related issues in our US Hosted Production environment. Users may have experienced intermittent slowness and/or errors between 1:10-1:37pm CT due to unexpected impact as part of software maintenance on redundant US Production servers we previously announced. A recent platform release introduced a dependency that unexpectedly caused this issue when a dependent service was restarted. The 2.54.3 release, scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2022, will remove that dependency and in the meantime we are taking additional measures to ensure there are no more impacts as part of the remaining maintenances this week.

Lastly, and unrelated, we wanted to make you aware that on Thursday October 27th, we plan to perform no-downtime software maintenance to redundant US Production servers. Since the devices will be out of service, there is no anticipated impact with these changes.

We sincerely apologize for the slowness and impacts to operations earlier today and will do everything we can to prevent a similar recurrence in the future.
