Data & Analysis Administrators wanting to manage and analyze data

Reporting authorities, roles, and record access controls restrict data visibility.

Data & Analysis Tools can be accessed by administrators from the gear icon on the left of the home screen. The admin group contains the following tools:

• Query Builder: Administrators with the SQL and Dataset Administrator role can use SQL to access data and certain configuration information.
• Datasets: (Classic UI only) Administrators with the SQL and Dataset Administrator role can define a SQL query that acts as a DataSource for the search engine.
• Data Import tool: Administrators with the Data Import role can mass-import data from a spreadsheet.
• Reports & Charting: Administrators with the Data and Analysis role can upload SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports for highly customized reporting layouts.
• Trend Profiles: Administrators with the Data and Analysis role can set up statistical process control profiles that will be available to users for trending.
