The most recent iteration of the Miramar User Interface (UI) offers significant advantages for users. With its improved usability, both new and existing users can navigate the interface with confidence and efficiency. This user-centric design ensures a consistent experience throughout the platform, thereby minimizing confusion and facilitating more seamless workflows.
Below are some recommendations and strategies to enhance your experience and optimize the performance of Miramar, allowing you to execute assignments and tasks with greater accuracy.
Browser bookmarks
A major benefit of Miramar is the ability to take advantage of features offered by standard web browsers. One such benefit is the ability to create and use browser bookmarks.
Using your browser's bookmark manager, you can create and organize folders to meet your specific needs. Bookmarks can be stored directly on the browser bookmark bar, or within folders on the bookmark bar. They can also be placed directly on your computer's desktop.
Browser bookmarks can be created for:
- Reports: List, Grid, Calendar, BI
- Records: Condition Reports, Corrective Actions, Assessments, etc.
- Dashboards: Home or other dashboards
- Create New... links
Browser bookmarks can be created by dragging and dropping links to the browser bar or desktop. Links can be dragged from:
- My Assignments
- My Submissions
- Recent
- List and grid report results
They can also be created while viewing a record or a report. Simply click the star icon in the address bar or select the URL from the browser address bar and drag it to the bookmark bar.
To create a bookmark for a Create New shortcut simply click the +Create New button, select the desired module, and then copy the URL to the bookmark bar.
Easily view and navigate through your browser history
If you click and hold the back button, you can see a history of prior pages and navigate right to any of them.
Opening objects in a new tab
There are two ways to quickly open any item in a new tab:
- Right-click on a browser tab and select
Duplicate - Press control
+ctrlon the keyboard while clicking on the item link.
Easily Access Dashboards
All users can create an unlimited number of Dashboards. Dashboards can contain one or more various components or existing reports. Users can change the dashboard being viewed by:
- Clicking on the Dashboard icon and selecting the desired dashboard
- Clicking on a browser shortcut that links to the dashboard
- Clicking on the pinned icon that represents the dashboard
- Toggle between all dashboards by clicking Ctrl-Shift-Up or Down arrow.
Expanding Text Boxes
Large text field boxes expand to allow easy viewing of a lot of content without using a window to allow greater agility when working within forms. To do this, drag the bottom of the box to the desired size, or click the See All link.
Back Arrow
When navigating away from the home page, a Back Arrow will appear on the left-hand side of the toolbar. This arrow allows the user to go back to other pages. It works the same as the browser back button but is larger and more prominent.
Clicking this button effectively closes the open record. If the record has unsaved changes the user will be prompted to save the record.
Tab Counts
When objects/records contain child level module data in the form of tables or card stacks, with at least one row, the tab name will display the number of entries or rows in the table next to the name. If the tab contains additional information or multiple child level tables, the indicator will be a dot.
