Configuring of user login page preferences

Admins, Module Developers and advanced Users configuring and testing new projects or changes.
Administrative access and area access is required for testing.
The admin Login Page Preferences screen, accessible from the admin Area Tools region provides several features to enhance user access and communication:
- Enter login messages to be displayed to users. Any messages created after the last time a user logged on will be automatically displayed to them the next time they log on.

Block user access to an area by specifying a scheduled downtime. This is useful during major application changes or other planned outages. Use the hover help in the screen for instructions on what time zone to use for the downtime. Add
?admin=Yto the end of the URL to bypass downtime restrictions and complete necessary maintenance. Note: Downtime will not logout users already in the system. -
Require that users specify a reporting authority to restrict access to when they log in. This is useful if an organization has multiple sites, for example, and users only ever want to see information about a specific site during a session.

Require Login Selectionis unchecked, the user can select- None -to log on with access to all authorities in their profile. - If
Require Login Selectionis checked and only one authority is available, the system will automatically select the reporting authority for them and bypass the pop-up entirely.

Optional reporting authority
The reporting authority login option is not currently supported by the Single Sign-On (SSO) behavior or mobile.
