Understanding login page preferences

Users and administrators with Ideagen EHSQ Enterprise or Decani who manage user sign-on settings.
Appropriate administrative permissions are required.
Overview
System administrators can use Login Page Preferences to configure login messages, company banners, company logos, planned downtime, and reporting authority selection.
Authentication through Ideagen Mazlan Home
Ideagen Mazlan Home authentication is being introduced for customers. Your customer success team will confirm your migration date before the change.
Single Sign-On (SSO) and Username and Password settings remain available regardless of how users access the system.
Password expiration policies are not currently supported with Ideagen Mazlan Home authentication. This is a known product limitation.
If your organization does not use Ideagen Mazlan Home, manage Login Page Preferences as described in this article.
Managing login page preferences
To configure login page preferences:
- Navigate to Area Tools.
- Select Login Page Preferences.
From this page, administrators can configure login messages, company banners, and a company logo.
Adding log in messages
On the Message tab, administrators can configure messages displayed to users.
The system automatically converts line breaks to HTML line breaks. You can also use HTML in messages to include external links.
By default, the system orders messages according to when they were last updated. You can change the sort order to display the oldest messages first.
To update and reuse an existing message, disable the message, edit the changes, and re-enable it.
Select one or more of the following options:
- Message Window: Displays the message in a separate window.
- Login Page: Displays the message on the login page.
- Show During Downtime: Displays the message on the login page during scheduled downtime.
Schedule downtime
Schedule downtime to temporarily restrict access during planned outages, upgrades, or application changes.
Refer to the on-screen hover help when selecting the appropriate time zone.
To bypass downtime restrictions while performing maintenance, add ?admin=Y to the end of the URL.
Scheduling downtime does not log out users who are already signed in. Users must sign out and sign in again for changes to take effect in their session.
Displaying a company banner
On the Company Banner tab, administrators can upload a banner to use as the standard print header image on reports.
Upload a GIF or PNG image with maximum dimensions of 900 × 130 pixels.
Include a company logo on the home page
On the Company Logo tab, upload a PNG, JPG, or JPEG company logo up to 2 MB.
The logo appears in the home page header alongside Ideagen branding.
Reporting authority logon message options
When a user is assigned to multiple reporting authorities, administrators can enable Require Login Selection. When enabled, users select a reporting authority after authentication. The selected reporting authority determines the role and reporting authority settings available to the user for that session.
If only one reporting authority is available, the system automatically applies that reporting authority's access rules and behaviors.
When Require Login Selection is disabled, users can select None to access information from all reporting authorities to which they are connected.
Disabling Require Login Selection is not currently supported with:
- Single Sign-On (SSO)
- Ideagen Mazlan Home authentication
- Mobile applications
Users who use this authentication method must select a reporting authority when applicable.
