Updating your profile - Classic UI
Who is this article for?
Users who want to update their profile in the Classic UI
No elevated access is required.
All users can modify certain characteristics of their Ideagen profile, which can be accessed by clicking 'My Profile' from the function's menu.
Name and Contact Information
Users can add/update their name, email address, and phone numbers.
Notification Preferences
Each user can choose if they'd like to receive an email notification each time they get an assignment, and if so, how frequently. If frequency is set to 'Daily' then one notification is sent each day. The default time of this notification is 3:00 AM (Central Time.) This can be modified for each organization. Speak with your organization's main contact if you feel this time should be changed.
Users will not receive notifications for team assignments if the 'Include teams' items' field isn't selected.
The Notification type 'Pager/text message' is being deprecated.
Password
If needed, users can change their password. The password complexity requirement can differ per organization.
If your organization uses Single-Sign-On (SSO), your Ideagen password is not used, and therefore never needs to be changed. With SSO, authentication to Ideagen is controlled by your organization's identity provider, i.e., Active Directory.
If you have forgotten your password, you can use the Forgot Password feature on the log in page to reset it. After clicking the button you'll be prompted to enter your username or your email address linked to your Ideagen account. An email will be sent to you with a link to change your password. Note: as mentioned above, if your organization uses SSO there is no reason to reset your Ideagen password.
Emails are not sent from UAT
Emails, including Forgot Password emails, are not sent from UAT areas. If you forgot your password to a UAT area, contact the admin for your organization so that they can reset it for you.
Tiles
A list of all tiles available to a user, including shared tiles, either from an admin or another user. For user-defined tiles, from this screen, a user can modify the name, color, size, text size, and desktop visibility of the tile. It is also possible to move a tile to a tile group.
Using the color selector, users can choose any color for their tiles, so you are not limited to the standard twenty available on the individual tile menus.
Be sure to click 'Save' after making your changes. Depending on the change, you may need to log out and back in again for the changes to take effect.
Alternates
An alternate can view and complete your tasks. You can also see if any other users have listed you as their alternate. This feature is extremely useful if you're unavailable for an extended period, like a vacation or leave.
Alternates do receive notifications for the items assigned specifically to you. Alternates do not receive notifications for team assignments.
Alternates do not inherit any additional roles, rights, or Reporting Authority access. Prior to choosing an alternate, a user should ensure the planned alternate has the roles and access that are required to successfully complete the user’s assignments.
Roles and Teams
A read-only list of all your roles and the teams for which you are a member.
