In-Person Admin and SME Training - May 2025

(April 2, 2025)

Attention: Administrators and Subject Matter Experts (SME)

You are invited to join us for in-person System Administration and Introductory Configuration training. This course will cover administrative tasks and introduce application development concepts, basic module construction, requirements gathering, testing techniques, and SQA principles.

• When: May 12 - 14, 2025
• Location: Ideagen DevonWay Salt Lake City Utah Office, 7070 Union Park Avenue, Suite 350, Midvale, UT 84047
• Course Difficulty: Intermediate to Advanced
• Prerequisites: Completion of all 1000 level courses is recommended. Attendees should be familiar with their current DevonWay solution and understand the business processes for the applications they are managing.
• Cost: For Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Support customers registration cost is free in lieu of a site visit (up to 2 attendees). For Silver Support customers: registration is free in lieu of four Support Requests, per attendee (4 months).

Space is limited to the first fifteen registrants. 

No-downtime Production Updates (2.61.2) rescheduled for Tuesday, April 8, 2025

Notice

We have postponed the 2.61.2 Production update from April 3 to April 8, to accommodate customer requirements and allow time for additional testing. This does not affect any of our Maintenance plans for this month. The original message (with adjusted dates) appears below.

Platform Update

We are planning no-downtime updates to deliver Platform release 2.61.2 to the following areas:

• US Production: Tuesday, April 8
• US Government Cloud Production: Thursday, April 10
• Europe and Canada Production: Wednesday, April 16

You can review these release notes for an overview of the changes. 

Action

Please report any unexpected behavior that you notice in your US Config (Build, Test, and UAT) areas, which we updated with this new 2.61.2 version on Thursday, April 3. (We will postpone the Production update if we're not confident in its quality.) This release will reach the European and Canadian Config areas on Wednesday, April 9.

Maintenance

• No-downtime software maintenance on US Production servers between Tuesday, April 15, and Thursday, April 17.
• No-downtime software maintenance on European and Canadian servers as outlined in the Maintenance Schedule.

Partial Service Disruption Update: April 16, 2025

We experienced a partial service disruption this morning affecting all applications in our US Production environment. Services that depend on the search index were limited during this period. All services were fully restored by 9:11am Central time, though some services (such as BI reporting) were restored earlier.

What Happened?

Our preliminary investigation indicates this disruption stemmed from expired certificates. During this period, users may have experienced error messages when attempting to use search-dependent features. Core functionality not reliant on search remained operational.

What's Next?

We are conducting a comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to:

1. Determine the exact sequence of events
2. Identify process improvements
3. Implement safeguards to prevent similar incidents

We understand the critical nature of our services to your operations and sincerely apologize for the disruption. If you experienced any specific issues during this disruption, or have questions about this incident, or would like a copy of our RCA once completed, please contact your Technical Account Manager.

No-downtime Production Updates (2.61.3) starting Thursday, April 24, 2025, and Maintenance

We are planning no-downtime updates to deliver Platform release 2.61.3 to the following areas:

• US Production: Thursday, April 24
• US Government Cloud Production: Thursday, May 1
• Europe and Canada Production: Wednesday, May 7

Action

Updated Ideagen logos coming to the DevonWay platform

(April 29, 2025)

With the release of platform version 2.61.4, scheduled for May 15th (US) and May 28th (EU/Canada), some minor changes to platform branding will be introduced.

Miramar UI Logo Changes

On the login screen, the Ideagen logo will replace the Ideagen DevonWay logo:

In the upper left of the screen a new Ideagen branded logo will replace DevonWay ""D"" logo:

These changes will not impact customers using the Classic user interface. 

iOS Mobile Changes

This change will also impact the iOS mobile app version 1.46.

The current DevonWay Mobile application will continue to be called DevonWay2 and the application icon will not change at this time.  

Within the application the Ideagen logo will replace the Ideagen DevonWay Logo:

These changes will not impact the functionality of the mobile application and will be released for Android and Windows mobile apps in a future release to be announced.
