Long-term support (LTS) version: 2.53.2
2.53.0
US Production: May 12, 2022
EU & Canada Production: May 25, 2022
- Adjusted the behavior for locking records to more aggressively clear the locks, which will lead to fewer instances of records remaining locked longer than they should be. More specifically, if the server fails to receive five keep-alive pings (which typically run every two minutes) in a row, we interpret that to mean that the browser window has closed, the computer has been turned off, or the network connection has been severed, in which case we will remove any outstanding record locks for that session.
-

- Improved scrolling behavior when using the Standard Workflow Layout
- Improved the downtime maintenance messages on the Miramar login page
- Added the ability to quickly filter grid data
- Added support for generating PDFs on search results
- Cleaned up and improved the Search Notifications screen
- Maintenance:
- Fixed an issue that occasionally caused invalid rows to appear in child levels
- Created a utility for re-feeding data to our search index
- Made several fixes recommended by our static code quality management software
- Build: 2.53.0.0-456 (cc58cee29)
2.53.1
US Production: May 26, 2022
EU & Canada Production: June 8, 2022
- Removed the last remaining usage of a database table that is otherwise obsolete. The last usage was for displaying item summaries in reference-field values on My Assignments grids. Now, we use common-field values to generate those same item summaries, like we have already been doing in most other areas of the platform. Sorting My Assignments grids by reference-field values, though it is rarely used, may now behave differently. If you have saved shortcuts based on My Assignments grids that no longer sort in the desired manner, please contact DevonWay Support and we will help you build a replacement search.
- Modified the Single Sign On (SSO) process to enable using SSO to log into to either the Miramar or Classic dashboard (currently we only support using SSO for one or the other). This will not affect existing SSO implementations. By default, this will not be enabled in your area. When your organization is ready to deploy Miramar this feature will allow for testing and temporary simultaneous use of both Miramar and Classic.
- Added a new Users API as part of API Services, which allows API developers to view, create, and modify users and roles.
- Moved some notification settings which were previously only available on the logged-in users profile over to the Users screen where they can be set by User Access Control Administrators and User Administrators.
-
Miramar User Interface:
- Added the ability to drag and drop column headings on the left-side view in order to switch the order of search result columns in grid mode
- Added the ability to do statistical calculations (Sum, Average, Maximum, etc) on any numeric column in grid mode search results
- Updated the Administrative screens to build in the new Miramar style -- these will no longer display in "Classic mode" by default
- Added support for using right and left arrow indicators to move through a list of objects found in search, while looking at a specific object
- Added some validation to numeric fields to ensure that only numeric values are entered
- Added support for changing passwords in the Miramar interface
- Adjusted the height of child grid toolbars to be more consistent
- Added support for messages that pop-up after logging in
- Maintenance:
- Fixed an issue with indentation of Large Character fields in Miramar
- Fixed an issue that caused the browser to occasionally hang when logging out of an SSO session in Miramar
- Made several fixes recommended by our static code quality management software
- Build: 2.53.1.0-457 (84e39c129)
2.53.2
US Production: June 9, 2022
EU & Canada Production: June 22, 2022
- Added a new Personal Role Administrator role type, which allows a user to grant themselves roles for the purpose of debugging. This will be primarily for DevonWay users who are tracking down issues and should eliminate the need to make these users User Access Control Administrators.
- Made a change for common field mappings that are used to identify reference data (from another module). If you previously used SearchAPI and relied on these mappings, you may have noticed data displayed unexpectedly as numeric values, but re-feeding your data should correct those results to show expected, user-friendly values.
- Identified another possible usage of a database table that we stopped using in the last (2.53.1) release. This potential usage is for custom dashboard nodes, which appear within the Items folder on the left-side panel on the dashboard (or potentially on tiles). A small percentage of these nodes, only those defined using DXL and based on modules that have reference fields as identifying fields, may attempt to retrieve data from this table. Because we haven't been updating this table since the last release, it's possible that a value displayed in the node is outdated. If you encounter one of these rare cases, please contact DevonWay Support and we will help you build a replacement search grid.
- Fixed an issue that was causing certain messages to be sent to the wrong search index feed queue, potentially delaying the amount of time that they would be available in search results.
-
Miramar User Interface:
- Changed the selection widget for Chart search outputs to appear as a more prominent pop-up and group similar types
- Updated the Administrative screens to display in "Classic mode" by default for now (reverting a 2.53.1 change) to give us time to resolve some issues in the Miramar versions
- Fixed an issue that caused child grid buttons to show with inconsistent sizes
- Fixed an issue that caused some toolbar button labels to change unexpectedly
- Changed date fields to make them display more consistently on larger screens
- Made several improvements to card stack layouts to make better use of space
- Build: 2.53.2.0-463 (0e8efed8e)
2.53.3
US Production: June 23, 2022
EU & Canada Production: July 6, 2022
- The 'Failed login attempts before lockout' Password Rule is now enabled in all areas and set to 5 by default if it did not previously exist. It is no longer possible to remove this rule.
- Added support for creating and updating Teams via Behaviors in ModuleBuilder. Module developers can use these new behaviors to keep native Team definitions in synch with corresponding module records.
- We removed the limit on feeding dependent items to the search index (which was previously 10,000).
- Added some missing roles to the list of selectable roles on the Users screen.
-
Miramar User Interface:
- [Added August 1, 2022] Enhanced the Miramar screen header to display a custom uploaded logo or image on the left portion of the toolbar, just to the right of the DevonWay logo. Administrators can use the Login Page Preferences screen (on the Company Banner tab) to upload an image, which we'll resize to fit in the allocated space. Note that this is the same image that appears on standard print headers.
- Added support for viewing hierarchical data in the Search screen, and running searches against them (this requires setting a feature flag to use).
- Added support for a new "Program Overview" chart type in search results, which will automatically create a bar chart based on search results (this requires setting a feature flag to use).
- Updated search behavior to make it more clear when a Calendar search is available for a module.
- Fixed a rare condition that caused certain SSO logins to fail.
- Updated card groups so that we don't show the field we're grouping on.
- Changed the look of the 'breadcrumb' link for an object when clicking the link won't take you anywhere.
- Build: 2.53.3.0-469 (683c8e3ae)
2.53.4
US Production: July 21, 2022
EU & Canada Production: August 3, 2022
-
Miramar User Interface:
- Added support for editing, saving, and submitting objects returned by searches directly from the search screen (this requires setting a feature flag to use).
- You can now configure modules to require re-authentication when completing certain workflow events.
- You can now edit some date fields directly from the Task card in Miramar's "Standard Workflow" layouts.
- Added the ability to specify your preferred sort order on Assignment searches, which will also affect certain elements on the Miramar Home screen.
- Added support for changing the number of search results returned per page.
- Improved the look and feel of the Workflow History view. This improved version shows workflow events grouped by task and highlights occurrences of the current task.
- Maintenance:
- Made some improvements to the process that generates screen-layout definitions. One improvement is that we now use an in-memory cache to retrieve information about common fields (instead of querying the database). While this approach is faster and uses fewer overall resources, it also means that changes to common fields may take up to five minutes (how long the cache lasts) to take effect.
- Stopped writing (and cleared out existing) non-essential requests from our audit-action logs.
- Added an upper limit to the number of searches the platform runs (in the background) when determining which Classic Dashboard links to highlight in bold text (indicating unread items), as a way to manage overall system performance. By default, the platform will run up to 750 saved (or shared) searches, but that value can be adjusted. In extremely rare cases where users have access to more than the specified number of searches, some links may no longer be highlighted.
- Build: 2.53.4.0-489 (220ce8581)
2.53.4.1

EU & Canada Production: August 3, 2022
- Restored logic from 2.53.4 to ensure that the Persons web service properly handles empty date values and does not reset Password Expiration Dates to today's date.
- Build: 2.53.4.1-491 (220ce8581)
2.53.5
US Production: August 4, 2022
