Long-term support (LTS) version: 2.50.2
2.50.0
US Production: July 15, 2021
EU Production: August 11, 2021
- Modified the values we store for the Task - Created On field in the search index to reflect the most recent occurrence of the task (which only matters when the task has been rolled back at least once).
- This change impacts BI ad-hoc reports defined to "Create a separate row for each..." Workflow Task in cases where the task was rolled back at least once.
- We previously stored the earliest value from previous occurrences of the same task. (We always have and will continue to store the Task - Completed On value from the most recent occurrence.)
- The values we store in the database remain unchanged. This change only affects what we fstore in the search index.
- To apply this change to existing records, please contact Ideagen to coordinate refeeding (or updating) those records in the search index. For most modules, this change is subtle enough that it shouldn't require refeeding.
- The Task - Duration field remains a sum of the days elapsed across all occurrences of that task.
- Made date/time values appear in a consistent form (and time zone) in both the standard print output and the History popup.
- Date/Time values in the History popup will appear in the time zone of the user's current location.
- Date/Time values in the standard print output will appear in the time zone of the user's current location along with a time zone code (like "ET" for Eastern Time) to convey the time zone.
- The Initiated On field will appear both on screen and in printed form in the time zone associated with the specific record's Reporting Authority.
- As a general rule, date/time values will include a time zone indicator (like "ET" for Eastern Time) when the time may not be displayed in the time zone of the user's current location.
- Made data-import processing more efficient by removing an unnecessary query that could otherwise contribute to system slowness in certain conditions (during high-volume import runs).
2.50.0.1
US Production: July 16, 2021
EU Production: August 11, 2021
- Made changes to ensure that date values print as expected when the latest module-definition caching behavior is disabled. Note that this module-definition caching behavior is currently enabled for all but one subscriber, so most subscribers are not affected by this issue.
- Adjusted the date/time format of the InitiatedOn field value in RESTConnect object responses to match the same format used before the 2.50.0 release.
2.50.0.2
US Production: July 20, 2021
EU Production: August 11, 2021
- Modified the handling of data-truncation conditions to trigger a behind-the-scenes warning instead of a user-facing error message. Data truncation occurs when a person or process attempts to insert or modify a record by setting a character field to a value longer than what is allowed in the database. (The user interface keeps end-users from entering character values longer than what is allowed.)
- Ensured that unread-item counts appear as expected on your dashboard even if one search fails to count unread items. This change restores the behavior in place before the 2.50.0 release.
2.50.0.3
US Production: July 21, 2021
EU Production: August 11, 2021
- Fixed a case where, under certain boundary-case conditions, the platform would report that a required field was empty when it wasn't.
2.50.1
US Production: July 29, 2021
EU Production: August 11, 2021
- Added functionality to report books to support setting the page identifier on the bottom left side of the page, instead of forcing it to the top or bottom right.
- Modified All Items and My Assignments grids, as well as saved "shortcut" versions of those grids, to display dates and times in the user's time zone. Specifically, this change affects the Last Updated column in All Items grids and the Assigned Date column in My Assignments grids.
- Provided a new Download prefers PDF behavior for Attachments grids that can be conditionally enabled (based on rules) for specified modules. When rule conditions are met for that module, then clicking the download icon for an attached file will download the PDF version of that file. Note that there are background processes, which have been in place for years, that convert many types of file attachments to PDF form to simplify printing and viewing of those files. This new feature gives module developers the option to choose whether users download the original or the PDF version. (For file types that are not converted to PDF form, users always download the original file, regardless of this behavior setting.)
- Maintenance
- Fixed an issue where Trending over smaller ranges of data would result in an error.
- Resolved a problem where a certain configuration of child reference fields could lead to referenced field data not displaying on the screen.
2.50.2
US Production: August 12, 2021
EU Production: August 25, 2021
- Made some improvements to the process that scrubs or sanitizes user-entered data to prevent potential risks in those data values. Whereas the platform previously modified values in the background without notifying the user, it now reports a message explaining which field is at risk and where the risk starts (by displaying an excerpt of the field value). This improved sanitization process is in effect for all subscribers when modifying character-field values in object records.
- Modified [Print] behavior to no longer report an error when an attachment being merged has a file type that's not listed as convertible to PDF. Instead, when the print job attempts to convert the un-convertible file to PDF, the platform either inserts a warning page (if specified in the module definition) or reports an error.
- Repaired a condition that caused the "Initiated On" date value to be potentially inaccurate (off by an hour or two) in some search results and BI reports. This condition occured for items associated with reporting authorities in time zones other than US Central that were also submitted (or re-submitted) to the search index after the 2.50.0 release. The source data values remained accurate; only search results and BI reports were affected. Re-submitting items to the search index repairs any existing inconsistency.
- Made some performance improvements to the generation of search filter fields, which will prevent delays when opening the search screen.
- Added support for the newer CreatedDateTime and EventDisposedDateTime fields to auto-generated database views based on WorkbookEvent. These are actual Date/Time values that replace the text
- Maintenance
- Fixed an issue where some Trending heat map cells were displaying with the wrong color.
- Resolved some potential issues with database upgrades in on-prem environments.
2.50.3
US Production: August 26, 2021
EU Production: September 8, 2021
- Improved the Search Notifications screen by showing more data in the results fields and adding more flexibility in which elements of a notification are searchable.
- Made the Common Field Code visible on the Cross-Module Functions admin screen to make it easier for Application Engineers who are managing module definitions in multiple areas.
- Added new Common Fields for Severity and Priority.
- Modified the Search Grids/Reports property to default to 'true' when adding new (non-virtual) fields in Module Builder.
- Maintenance
- Resolved an issue with numeric formatting that could occur when printing an object
- Fixed an issue where we were failing to populate child "Added By"-type fields in certain cases.
2.50.4
US Production: September 9, 2021
EU Production: September 22, 2021
- Enabled a setting to increase the level of data validation for updates provided when adding or modifying tiles, saving searches or search notifications, or updating data on a few other administrative screens. To be clear, this setting has already been enabled for a long time (years in many cases) for many subscribers. We can disable it (for a given subscriber) if there are any unintended, disruptive side effects.
- Added the ability to store uploaded Data Import files in a location other than the primary database.
- Maintenance
- Removed references to obsolete tables from the module import and export process.
- Updated the Subscriber creation process to ensure that we correctly populate common fields in new areas.
2.50.5
US Production: September 23, 2021
EU Production: October 6, 2021
- Added support for filtering hierarchical Trending searches by creating a search filter that uses the same field as your Trending Field. Previously, doing this wouldn't change the results, but you can now filter to sub-hierarchies using this method.
- Added some informational fields to the Preferences screen to make it easier for Ideagen customers to implement Single Sign On (SSO).
- Maintenance
- Fixed an issue with module imports that prevented us from automatically updating buttons that run external web services. Previously, this issue required manually changing the module after an import.
- Improved logging in the Data Import process when retrieving the original and retry files to improve troubleshooting.
