Customizing the Create New menu

When the Create New button is selected a menu is displayed that lists Create New shortcuts.
Administrators have control over which Create New shortcuts are displayed to all users. These shortcut buttons are typically grouped together by common use.
To create a "Create New" button:
- From the Administration Screen, select Components
- Click Add Create New Menu from the Create New Buttons menu of the main Components screen
- Enter a Group Name
- Select the desired shortcut items from within the Available Items section
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 as many times as are needed
- If needed, adjust the display order of the shortcuts by dragging and sorting the shortcuts within the preview window or the Selected Create New Items list on the left. The order of all Create New groups can be modified by dragging them on the Create New Buttons menu of the main Components screen
- Click Save
Model Templates can be used to further customize the menu.
Newly created Create New buttons will not be visible until after users log in following the creation of the new buttons.
A maximum of ten Create New menu groups can be created.
All users can see Create New buttons
While the Create New buttons are visible to all users, only those with the appropriate role and reporting authority are permitted to create objects, thereby ensuring security and appropriate access control within the system. Users without the necessary permissions will receive a notification informing them of their restricted access.
Test in UAT first
It is recommended that admins create and test Create New buttons in their UAT testing areas, prior to creating them in production.
