Exploring customization options
Who is this article for?
Ideagen EHSQ Enterprise or Decani Administrators who want to customize their solution.
Defined responsibilities and elevated access required.
Overview
The platform includes configuration options for branding, workflows, navigation, notifications, and data collection. Organizations can use these options to align the system with their processes, reduce unnecessary steps, and support consistent user experiences across business areas.
Custom configuration options
Add company branding
Upload a company logo to the application header alongside Ideagen branding. This helps users identify the environment they are working in and supports a familiar user experience. Configure company branding in Admin > Login Page Preferences.
Add company branding to exported PDFs
Configure a company banner to appear by default on PDF print layouts. The banner provides consistent branding for exported documents shared outside the platform. Configure the company banner in Admin > Login Page Preferences.
Display non-production environment warning banners
Add warning banners to non-production environments to show the area name at the top of the page. These banners help users distinguish test and training environments from production and reduce the risk of working in the wrong environment. To change the displayed area name, submit a support request ticket.
Create a custom Quick Create toolbar
Create Quick Create New options that give users direct access to frequently used actions. These options can include custom toolbar buttons, button icons, button names, links to specific applications, and dashboard buttons. This reduces the number of clicks required to start common tasks. For example, a Health and Safety administrator could provide one-click access to incidents, observations, near misses, and audits. Configure Quick Create New options in Admin > components.
Configure solution-specific icons and colors
Use solution- or application-driven icons and colors across dashboards, page titles, breadcrumbs, and buttons. These visual cues help users identify different areas of the platform, such as safety, quality, environmental, risk, and training. Configuration options may vary depending on the icon, color, or application setting being updated in Admin > components.
Create New shortcut groups
Organize Create New buttons into colorful, icon-based application groups. Administrators can assign icons to group headings, so users can find the correct process faster, especially in solutions with multiple Create New options. Configure Create New shortcut groups in Admin > components.
Application notifications
Application notifications use details from workflow rules or user-entered information. For example, when an assignment is created, the system can send a notification to a custom team or individual. Subject lines can include the object name, and messages can include recorded comments.
Report notifications
Report notifications can be sent to custom teams or individuals, similar to application notifications. Administrators can adjust subject lines, comments, filters, and delivery dates to meet users’ needs.
Conclusion
Organizations can customize their solution through configurable branding, navigation, icons and colors, shortcut groups, notifications, report delivery, and data collection experiences. These options support tailored forms, controlled field visibility and behavior, personalized dashboards, object creation, report delivery, workflow-based notifications, and user interaction with data throughout the platform. Together, these configuration options help align the system with organizational processes, terminology, and operational requirements.
