Navigating the Homepage

Overview
The Homepage is the central starting point. It provides quick access to assignments, reports, dashboards, search tools, and other frequently used information. Users can create and customize multiple dashboards, but the dashboard designated as the default is displayed whenever the Home button is selected.
Homepage header
The page header contains search options, the profile menu, and access to additional settings and information.
- Search bar: Use the search bar to find records, reports, and other information throughout the system. Enter keywords and use filters to narrow results and locate specific information.
- My Profile: Use this menu to update settings in My Profile, find Help and tutorials, and access other useful information including privacy policies and updates.
- Log Out: Select the Log Out icon in the upper-right corner of the page to sign out of the application.
Toolbar
The toolbar contains navigation aids, application actions, and shortcuts to commonly used resources.
- Breadcrumbs: Help users navigate between related records and return to previously viewed pages.
- Module related buttons: Perform actions related to the current page or record, such as Save, Export, Complete, Submit, and Options.
- Toolbar buttons: Provide quick access to commonly used resources and actions. A toolbar button can contain one or more links to reports, dashboards, external URLs, specific objects, or Create New options. Toolbar buttons are typically organized into groups based on a common purpose.
- Quick create buttons: Provide quick access to create frequently used record types without navigating to another page first.
Left side navigation bar
Easily navigate to the Homepage, search for information, access reports, or manage dashboards using the Navigation Bar, also known as the Navigation Rail, located on the left side of the screen.
Default icons:
- Mazlan Home: Opens the Mazlan experience for organizations that have enabled Mazlan. Contact your account manager for information about availability.
- Create New: The Create New button is available on every page and provides a quick way to create new records.
- Homepage: Select the Home icon to return to your default dashboard from anywhere in the application.
- Search: Use the Search icon to locate records, reports, and other information. Apply filters to narrow results and find specific information more quickly.
- Reports: Find company and personal reports by clicking on the Reports icon in the navigation bar. The Top Reports region is on the right side of the screen and gives quick access to the most frequently used reports.
- Dashboards: Create, manage, and pin dashboards to the navigation bar. You can also designate a dashboard as your default home dashboard.
Access icons
These icons are available only to users with specific permissions or administrative roles.
- Administrative settings: Provides access to administrative configuration and management functions.
- Module developer: a browser-based environment for configuring fields, workflow, business rules, and more.
- Mobile developer: a designer-based environment for securely deploying, managing, and monitoring mobile devices.
Default dashboard elements
- Up Next: This dashboard component highlights the next assignment due and opens it with a single click. If there are overdue assignments, the most overdue item will show here.
- Submissions: The Submissions dashboard component timeline shows the last 50 items created and displays them in a timeline-type layout. The icons in the timeline show whether the item is currently open or closed. To access all items, click the link at the bottom of the timeline.
- My Top Reports: The My Top Reports dashboard component provides quick access to frequently used reports. or reports that have been pinned to My Top Reports dashboard component.

Assignments: The Assignments component provides quick access to assigned work and assignment status information. Select any section of the component to open a filtered list of assignments.
- Option Selector: View personal assignments, assignments for teams, assignments for alternates, or any combination of these options.
- All, Unread, Overdue: View all assignments for the selected option, only overdue items, or unread items that have not been opened.
