Business intelligence (BI) is the set of proprietary technologies underlying the platform's charting, reporting, and visualization capabilities in both Classic and Miramar user interfaces (UI). The foundation of Ideagen BI is a search engine specially designed to extract data in exactly the right structure based on user inputs. A custom, purpose-built API suite and robust user interface sit atop the foundation to achieve rich on-screen data visualizations.
Each time a new record / object is created or updated the object’s data is fed into the search engine. This allows searches to return new data each time the search is performed and instantly adds relevant information to existing search result displays. Types of Data Visualizations
Ideagen BI licensing allows access to the following visualization options within the BI tool suite:
- Table reports with fully customizable groupings, sorts, and data aggregations.
- Pivot tables with multi-level (nested) groupings and automatic data counts with optional field-specific data aggregations across the entire data set.
- Universal Trending with both preset and customizable statistical profiles and color schemes (additional licensing needed).
- Single-click pre-built visualizations for licensed product suites such as Quality Management or Asset Management.
- Custom chart visualizations with a wide range of chart options and easy-to-use report building interface.
- Dashboards available to all Miramar users to create multiple interactive dashboards from pre-created reports (additional licensing needed)
